- Where is the CBS Skating Club?
The CBS Skating Club is located in Conception Bay South, NL and skates at Robert French Memorial (RFM) & the CBS Arena (CBSA) - What are the Office Hours?

We understand no one likes to wait too long for a response. We try our best to answer emails within 24-48 hours. If you have been waiting longer, check in at our office and one of our volunteers will try to answer your question on the spot.
- I'm interested in signing up for CanSkate. What is this?
CanSkate is Skate Canada's official "Learn to Skate program. It is highly regarded by other ice sport organizations as the favoured curriculum to develop the skills needed to participate in their sports. It is also an excellent program to teach Canadians to skate for the joy of skating at any age of ability. - What should my CanSkater wear?
A CSA approved helmet is required, as well skates that are sharpened, well-fitting and tied to support the ankles. Skate guards are important to keep those skates sharp. Layered clothing and gloves are encouraged. Under the Programs tab, click on Learn to Skate to Learn More. - What is Intro to STAR?
Intro to STAR (previously called PreBronze) is for CanSkaters working on stages 4-6. Skaters must register for two sessions a week (Intro to STAR and CanSkate) to encourage faster progression into our STARSkate stream. - My CanSkater is finished stages 1-6. Now, what?
Next stop ... STARSkate! Skaters are required to hire a private coach for these programs. To learn more about this, click our Programs tab above. Information on coaches available is on the Coaches page, or by contacting the club cbsskatingclub@hotmail.ca
The Skate Canada STARSkate Program (STAR 1-10) offers skaters an opportunity to take assessments in skills, free skating, ice dancing, artistic, and synchronized skating.
The Skate Canada Podium Pathway provides opportunities for skaters to participate in competitions from the regional to the national/international level.
- Does the CBS Skating Club have Synchronized Skating Teams?
